Anna N. Jennings spent her childhood and part of her adult life in Georgia. She returns to its coast during Vermont’s mud season to satisfy her longing for an early spring. Otherwise Jennings feels at home in the Green Mountains where like moss over granite her heart stays soft and her footing solid. Jennings writes literary/mainstream poetry, incorporates varied media into book arts and experiments with lavender production. She volunteers at a state correctional facility where she leads a weekly poetry group.
Education: At age 50 Jennings returned to graduate school for a master’s degree in art therapy followed by a certificate in creative writing.
Certification: REAT - Registered Expressive Arts Therapist
Professional Development: Jennings is a member of two writing groups—one virtual, one local—and recurrently attends workshops. In recent years she has continued her study of claywork and printmaking through intensive programs of art and craft in the Southeast and New England.
